Summary: WYSIWYG editor causes content loss in computed fields when adding a macro
Issue Type: cid:jira-generated-image-avatar-5649bab0-c247-4da9-80de-da85ec54919a Bug
Affects Versions: 17.10.4
Assignee: Unassigned

Reporter: Camelia Andrei
Description:

On pages using the  class with computed fields, adding a macro in computed field causes the content to disappear.

The issue does not occur on standard pages, only on pages where content is stored or rendered via computed/object-based fields.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open an  page that uses a class containing a computed field
  2. Edit the page
  3. Add a macro into  property  that uses computed field in the WYSIWYG editor using the XWiki macro tool.

Actual result

  • Field content disappears

Expected result

  • Content should remain intact adding a macro and the macro should be added
  • Computed fields should preserve their content or at least not be overwritten/lost

Environment

  • XWiki version: 17.x (regression observed after upgrade from 16.4.6)
  • Editor: CKEditor (WYSIWYG)
  • Page type: Article class pages with computed fields
  • Macro tried: PDF Viewer: PDF Viewer Pro 2.2.1
