While this also affects 16.10.x, I haven't applied the fix there as the code structure is different and it would have required testing to ensure that this doesn't cause any regressions. Overall, as I haven't heard any complaints, I guess this regression can't be too bad that it would need to be applied to an almost unmaintained branch.
