[xwiki-devs] Candidate Xwiki for http://www.socialsoftwarematrix.org
Hi, I suggest to candidate Xwiki for http://www.socialsoftwarematrix.org. There is a specific page for new platform proposal at http://www.socialsoftwarematrix.org/rising_vendors/index.php Gianluca
Hi Gianluca, since XWiki is already on www.wikimatrix.com , I'm not sure we can also add it there. Are other wiki tools such as Confluence mentioned on both sites? Guillaume On Tue, Apr 10, 2012 at 15:16, Gianluca Sabena < gianluca.sabena@intertesto.com> wrote:

Why not? It's not because XWiki is a wiki that it's not: * an application * a development platform * a java tool * a lightweight cms (we need to add it here too: http://www.cmsmatrix.org/ ) * a social software * [Add your pick here] ;-)
Are other wiki tools such as Confluence mentioned on both sites?
http://www.socialsoftwarematrix.org/confluence/ Thanks -Vincent

Why not? Is the XWiki name a rare artifact that only exists in one copy which can be placed on one site only? Of course it can be added there. It should be. And yes, Confluence is there as well, along with Sharepoint, Google Apps Pro, Socialtext and other XWiki competitors.

Hi, I investigated and have discovered that www.wikimatrix.org is managed by CosmoCode, indeed http://www.socialsoftwarematrix.org/aboutus/ is managed by two employers at T-Systems Multimedia Solutions. I guess they are totally independent so I can't see any incompatibility. Confluence, SocialText and SharePoint are listed in both places. WikiMatrix is more an exhaustive list of platforms, socialsoftwarematrix.org is a reviewed list of software, it is only possible to propose a platform, then based on community vote and software completeness they will decide to add to the matrix. g. Hi, indeed, I thought both sites were managed by the same entity but I was wrong. +1 to add XWiki to the review list on www.socialsoftwarematrix.com Guillaume On Wed, Apr 11, 2012 at 09:27, Gianluca Sabena < gianluca.sabena@intertesto.com> wrote:
