[xwiki-users] Can I setup XWiki as a windows service?
Is there a batch file that can do this for me? And yes I wish we were using a non-Windows server, however... Sheila

XWiki is running in the servlet container you've chosen to use. Check the documentation for that servlet container and you'll find how to run it as a windows service. -Vincent
Hi Vincent, It looks as if the default Windows version is running Jetty. Is that correct? If so, I will try to set it up using this: [ http://docs.codehaus.org/display/JETTY/Win32Wrapper] Perhaps I can add this as a comment to the installation notes? I'd add it in the AdminGuide somewhere but yes that'd be great if you could add it when you get it working. Thanks! -Vincent

btw, we have been running xwiki 1.0 in tomcat 5.5 (runs as a windows service) and it has been very stable for the past 5 months or so. c.f. http://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-5.5-doc/windows-service-howto.html -Chengmin On 9/28/07, Vincent Massol <vincent@massol.net> wrote:

Thank you for the tip. In the past, I used the java service wrapper with great success. http://wrapper.tanukisoftware.org/doc/english/introduction.html As its names says...
