Re: [xwiki-users] [xwiki-devs] XWiki needs your help for its continuous build
Hi Vincent, I think this should also be mentioned here: http://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Community/Contributing as one of the easiest ways of contributing to XWiki. Also, I'm forwarding your email to the XWiki Users mailing list, since they can help on this too :) Regards, Catalin On 9/3/07, Vincent Massol <vincent@massol.net> wrote:
Hi everyone,
Some of you may have seen that we're now using TeamCity (http:// www.jetbrains.com/teamcity/) for XWiki's continuous build: http://teamcity.xwiki.org
The nice thing is that TC allows to distribute the build work to build agents.
XPertNet is currently providing one agent on the teamcity.xwiki.org machine.
However we've found that the builds are stacking up and are a bit too long to run.
Since TC supports parallel builds on different agents we'd like to call the community for help.
If you have a machine that has some spare cycles for running XWiki builds then we could hook it up to the teamcity.xwiki.org server to distribute the build load.
We don't need that many agents. Probably 1 or 2 (in addition to the one we have) would be enough for starters.
Thanks! -Vincent, on behalf of the xwiki dev team

Ok, downloaded the windows installer for the agent, installed, configured, and i get this: [2007-09-04 10:28:40,084] WARN - jetbrains.buildServer.AGENT - Starting agent Web server on port 9090 java.util.NoSuchElementException [2007-09-04 10:28:43,412] WARN - buildServer.AGENT.registration - Call http://teamcity.xwiki.org/RPC2 buildServer.register:org.apache.xmlrpc.XmlRpcException: java.lang.Exception: jetbrains.buildServer.CannotPingAgentException: Unable to ping agent [RO] rhadoo - XWiki. Please check firewall on agent machine [2007-09-04 10:28:43,412] WARN - buildServer.AGENT.registration - Connection to TeamCity server is probably lost. Will be trying to restore it. Take a look at logs/teamcity-agent.log for details (unless you're using custom logging). I've enabled the port through my router and the windows firewall (9090, and 9091), but no change.
