Hi, Does anyone know which macros I might need to edit to update to add a new menu option in the WYSIWYG editor to the Link menu say called "Link to file" and then display a "Link To File" dialog pane with a browser to allow a user to browse to a file on a network drive and select in and then insert a link to the file in the wiki page? [xwiki-users] Automatic Email Notification

Hey, i'm trying to create an automatic email notification, but the e-mail sending by using html is not realy helpful. There is a html fragment for email sending, but you have to push the "send" button in order to send the mail. Is it possible to create a class with a field 'status' that has something like 'in progress' and as long as this status is set, there is a daily, weekly email send to a list of users (list of groups in xwiki/property static list of users)??? There is a "Send Page by email App" but its also not automatic. I'm searching for an automatic email notification that uses the email of the users xwiki account. Thanks for your help!!! Hello, i'm new to xwiki and tried to find an answer, but didn't succeed. I would like to know how i can define a redirecting like it's common in Wikipedia. For example if you type in "H2O" it redirects you to the page "water". In Wikipedia you create a page named "H2O" and the only content is #REDIRECT [[Water]]. I searched for this topic on the xwiki pages, but couldn't find the syntax for this. I'm sure it's a minor problem but i would be glad if someone could help. Thanks in advance, resi.

Hi. I have XWiki Enterprise 3.0.36132 and would like to upgrade to latest version. I have tried to upgrade directly to 3.4 but as it produced error message I tried to upgrade in steps.. Upgrade to 3.1.1 was ok, no db migration was needed and installed the .xar without problems. Hi All, I asked the below query log time before but have not got any inputs. I would be grateful if you folks have any idea about below configuration. let me know if it is possible to configure this kind of feature in xwiki in any version? i want to give rights in a way so that the users in a certain group should be able search the users of a certain group. For example i have 3 groups G1,G2,G3 . G1 contains user U1,G2 contains user U2 and G3 contains user U3. Now i want to give the the group 1 users rights in a way so that they should be able to search the G1 and G2 users only but not G3 users.Thanks

Under the presentation section of look and feel, i see skin as XWiki.DefaultSkin and DEFAULT STYLESHEET as style.css. If i want to replace both of these with my customized skin and stylesheet, how should i go about this? where should i put my both these new docs?

[xwiki-users] Not able to delete the page ?

Hi All, i am logged in as admin user who has all possible rights at wiki administration level . i have a space with the name MySpace. Now i created the page AppPage1 by mistake. i want to delete this page. But when i go for deletion , it gives me the message Are you sure you wish to move this document to the recycle bin? i clicked yes but then it gives the some run time error saying Wrapped Exception: com.jnetdirect.jsql.JSQLException: Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'XDD_ID', table 'WikiActualData.dbo.xwikirecyclebin'; column does not allow nulls. INSERT fails. at com.jnetdirect.jsql.JSQLException.makeFromDatabaseError(JSQLException.java:85) at com.jnetdirect.jsql.IOBuffer.processPackets(IOBuffer.java:547) at com.jnetdirect.jsql.JSQLStatement.getNextResult(JSQLStatement.java:2645) Complete stack trace is attached with this mail. I have tried my level best to delete this page but everytime it gives me the same error . I am not getting how to delete this page.

Below is the statement given at http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/AdminGuide/Access+Rights A programmer is allowed to execute arbitrary java code in the wiki and can thus gain control of the system user which the wiki is running under. Could you give me some example how xwiki admin can modify existing java class. when it will be compile and deployed? Assume i want to add a new method in XWikiAuthServiceImpl.java . How should i go with this provided i am having programming rights.Thanks.
